Follow these 4 simple steps to bring your vision to light.
Step 1: Define Your Requirement
We offer two distinct ways to customize your lighting:
- Option A: Modification (Customize Existing Models)
You love a specific design in our catalog, but the specs aren't perfect for your room.What we can change: Dimensions (Width, Depth, Height), Finish (Gold, Chrome, Black, Brass, etc.), and Suspension Length.What to prepare: The Product SKU or Link. - Option B: Bespoke Creation (Design from Scratch)
You have a unique vision or an architectural requirement that doesn't exist yet.What we can do: Create a fixture from an image, a sketch, or a technical drawing.What to prepare: Your inspiration image or drawing.
Step 2: Check Your Dimensions
Before sending your request, ensure the scale is right for your ceiling height and room size.

Step 3: Submit Your Request
Send an email to our design team at support@skandialights.com with the following details:
The Reference: Send the SKU number for modification or your design image for the bespoke request.
The Specs: Please list the exact Dimensions (W x D x H) and the specific Base Finish Color choice.
The Space: A photo of where the light will be installed helps our designers visualize the project.
Response Time: Our designers will review your request and get back to you within 1-2 business days with a quote or clarifying questions.
Step 4: Engineering & Certification (The Skandia Promise)
Once the design is approved, we move to engineering. This is where Skandia Lights stands out. We don't just prioritize aesthetics; we prioritize safety and compatibility.
- Certified Safety: Every custom fixture is manufactured in strict compliance with CE and RoHS certifications. This ensures that materials are hazardous-substance free and components meet European safety standards.
- Seamless Connection: Your custom light is engineered to connect perfectly with standard residential and commercial electrical systems. We ensure the voltage compatibility and mounting hardware are adapted for a safe and easy installation by your electrician.
Helena & Bjorn: The Legacy Redefined
In 2019, Helena and Bjorn inherited “Ljus Träverk,” their father’s renowned wooden lighting company in Växjö, Sweden. Over the years, they transformed it into Skandia Lights, a symbol of refined Scandinavian luxury.
Each creation harmoniously blends noble materials such as rare woods, polished brass, and hand-blown glass, enhanced by a minimalist and timeless design. Every luminaire is imagined and meticulously crafted in their atelier, reflecting exceptional craftsmanship and a contemporary vision of enduring elegance.
Building on their success, Helena and Bjorn relocated to New York in 2023. From there, they now oversee the expansion of the brand in the United States and internationally, taking their Swedish heritage to a global stage.
Every Skandia Lights creation begins its story in our Växjö atelier.
